“Providing education is a great charity. Therefore, good education should be promoted.”
When I began this blog, I had started it with the intention of sharing my own handwritten notes, which I had (so painstakingly) made during my year as a tenth grade ICSE student. Being someone who cannot easily part with her books and notes, instead of letting them sit forever in a closet and have them gather dust, I thought of starting this blog so that other students could benefit from my notes and download them for quick and easy revision without having to spend the same time and energy. Why do double the work, right? (That’s not to say that one shouldn’t make one’s own notes. In fact, I’ve written a post explaining precisely how you, yourself, can first take notes in class and also make notes from your textbook.)
However, during the course of writing and maintaining this blog, I have often been overcome with lethargy. During those times, I have felt the need to question myself.
Why am I still running this blog after three (now, five!) long years? What do I get out of all this? Why toil after something which offers me no tangible direct reward?
I have often received advice to make this a paid platform, but whenever I contemplate the idea, I am reminded of Bhagwan Swaminarayan’s words, as written below, in the Shikshapatri.
“Spreading of knowledge and education is a great meritorious deed.“
I am also reminded of the countless times I have interacted with readers here and what a great feeling it is when they exhibit joy and pleasure to have come across a platform that provides them relevant educational material for free. It is with these two things in mind that I continue to keep this site open for all – no registrations, no charges.
For these reasons, this website has been and will continue to be inspired by my gurus, H.H. Pramukh Swami Maharaj and Pragat Guruhari H.H. Mahant Swami Maharaj and dedicated to all ICSE Class 10 students of previous and coming batches.
I pray that God continues to grant me the will to maintain this blog so that I may do my own bit with the resources with which He has blessed me.
