You have to stress on planning during your tenth grade!
So how do you go about planning? What are you supposed to plan? Why do you have to plan anyway?
Yeah, these questions may pop up on your mind, but let me tell you, without planning, you won’t know where to start!
The first step in realizing any goal (academic, here) is to plan.
Plan what you’ll be doing this vacation. Are you going somewhere for a break? Or will you be staying at home? Whatever you do, don’t waste your time! Use it wisely. If you’re going off to some place with family/friends, make sure to have fun! Don’t think about school or studying during that time. Once you’re back home, focus on what needs to get done. This vacation cannot go to waste. Divide your time such that you make the most of it.
“You’ll never get time for anything; If you want time, you must make it”
Make sure you keep aside some time each day for playing, exercising, family, sleep, and studying. Keep a time table according to your habits. If you study well during the night, wake up a little late in the morning, but get your 7-8 hours of sleep each day. If you study well during the morning, wake up early and then take a nap in the afternoon for 30 minutes or so to freshen up. Go about your day such that you do everything at a moderate level.

Begin your day with exercise and a full breakfast, 2 hours after exercising.
–> Exercise: 30 minutes (You can go on a walk with your parents/siblings, jump rope, ride your bicycle, etc.)
Once you’re energized, you’ll be in a perfect state of mind to study.
–> Study: 2 hours 30 min (Take 7-10 minute breaks after every hour or so.)
Our minds work best when they are provided with food! So add fuel to your engine.
–> Lunch: 30 min (Unless you really chew each bite 20 times, it shouldn’t take you longer than 30 minutes to have your food!)
Food makes our brains sleepy in the afternoon.. Have a nap!
–> Nap: 30 min (After 2 hours or so, have a nap so that you feel refreshed!)
Back to studying!
–> Study: 2 hours 30 min (Study again.. Do your tuition homework, test prep, etc.)
We all need to play once in a while.. Get outdoors and have some fresh air!
–> Play: 2 hours (What’s vacation without playing with your friends? Get together with your society friends and have a game of soccer to work up an appetite!)
Relaaaaax.. Do nothing. Visit this place!
–> Relax: 1 hour (Enough studying for the day. Just relax your mind and do nothing! Or, do something that you find relaxing….. T.V.? ;-])
Family time! Or should we say dinner time?
–> Dinner/Family Time: 1 hour 30 min (Everybody’s family is different, but one place where they mostly get together is during dinner. If not, find some time after dinner to talk with your parents/siblings and just discuss what you all did the whole day!)
This makes for a total of 5 hours a day of studying while the rest of the 19 hours are spent sleeping, eating, playing, exercising, relaxing, and making time for your family (very important!)… Not everybody can follow such a routine, no.. But if you at least go about trying to incorporate the basic idea in your life, I’m sure you’ll be much more productive. Tenth grade won’t be as stressful if you plan it, starting from summer break!
